The Grayzone Alleges UK Media Pushed Epstein-Russia Narrative to Deflect from Israel Ties

In a video published by The Grayzone (@thegrayzone7996), journalists Max Blumenthal and Kit Klarenberg allege that British corporate media are engaged in a coordinated effort to redirect scrutiny of Jeffrey Epstein's associates away from Israel and toward Russia. The commentators assert that outlets including The Telegraph, the Daily Mail, and the Washington Post have amplified unsubstantiated suggestions that Epstein maintained operational ties to Russian intelligence services.

Blumenthal and Klarenberg characterise this reporting as a "cover-up" staged by what they describe as "MI6-adjacent" UK media. They contrast these narratives with what they term the "obvious" but underreported dimension of Epstein's network: his extensive associations with Israeli and pro-Israel figures. The video cites Epstein's relationships with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, his 2014 hosting of current Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Epstein Island, and donations to pro-Israel organisations, including Friends of the Israel Defence Forces and the Jewish National Fund.

The Grayzone further claims that mainstream outlets omitted key context when reporting on Epstein's attempts to engage with Russian leadership. The commentators note that Epstein was coaching Ehud Barak—not an "unknown person"—on how to approach Vladimir Putin, a detail they allege was deliberately withheld. They argue this framing serves dual purposes: sustaining anti-Russia sentiment while insulating Israel from sustained examination regarding its elites' proximity to Epstein. The video concludes that the emerging battle over Epstein's intelligence ties represents a geopolitical information war rather than a good-faith search for accountability.
