Trump Air Force One Delayed to Davos by Minor Electrical Issue, Speech Still On

President Donald Trump's travel to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, encountered a brief disruption on Tuesday evening when the Air Force One aircraft carrying him was forced to return to Joint Base Andrews shortly after takeoff. The White House attributed the precautionary turnaround to a minor electrical issue identified by the flight crew. The plane landed safely, and there was no danger to the president or other passengers at any time during the incident. Following standard protocols for presidential travel, Trump transferred to a designated backup aircraft. This contingency resulted in a departure delay of more than two hours from his original schedule. Despite the interruption, the president's itinerary at the global summit was unaffected. He arrived in Zurich and proceeded to Davos, with his scheduled keynote address to international leaders and business executives at the World Economic Forum proceeding as planned at its original time of 2:30 p.m. local time on Wednesday.
