Iran Says It Faces “Total War” From US, Israel and European Allies

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned that his country is facing what he described as a “full-fledged” or “total” war waged by the United States, Israel, and European allies. He said the pressure spans military threats, economic sanctions, and diplomatic isolation.

Speaking amid heightened regional tensions, Pezeshkian argued that Western states are coordinating efforts to weaken Iran through financial restrictions, political pressure, and support for Israel’s military actions. He said Tehran views these measures as part of a broader strategy aimed at undermining Iran’s sovereignty and regional influence.

Iranian officials reiterated that the country does not seek wider conflict but will respond decisively to any direct attack. Tehran has maintained that its actions are defensive and framed within international law, while blaming external powers for escalating instability in the Middle East.

The remarks come as diplomatic efforts to ease tensions remain limited, with ongoing disputes over Iran’s regional role, sanctions, and security concerns. Analysts say the rhetoric reflects deepening mistrust and the risk of further escalation if diplomatic channels fail to gain traction.
